When you remove any metal container from the freezer of your refrigerator, such as an ice tray, your fingers stick to the container. Why does this happen?

There’s always some moisture on your hands. When the hand comes in contact with the cold surface of the container, this moisture freezes. Because of the pressure you apply while holding the container, this ice joins with crystals of ice on the container and your fingers stick to it.

What would happen if you touched the tray with your tongue? It could get stuck. Better not try it! Freeing the tongue afterwards could be painful.
