Which parks comprise the Canadian Rocky Mountain Park?

The Canadian Rocky Mountain Park is comprised of four national parks and three provincial parks. Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho are the national parks and Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine and Hamber are the provincial parks. A wide range of glacial features and examples of erosion and deposition can be found in the Park.

The Burgess Shale Cambrian fossil site which had been a World Heritage Site on its own is also a part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Park. The Cambrian and Pre-Cambrian sites give valuable information about the evolution of the earth.

Around 56 mammal species, 280 avian species and 8 species of amphibians and reptiles in the park add to its attraction.
