On Sunday, May 16, 2021, already relegated Sheffield United visited Everton in the Premier League. Despite missing a spark almost throughout the season, they came away with a victory, winning the match 1-0.

The goal was scored by Daniel Jebbison, making him the youngest player to score on his Premier League start.

In a season of gloom in which Sheffield United finished last in the Premier League table and were relegated to the Championship. Daniel Jesbbison offered a rare moment of joy with this goal that gave them a 1-0 win away against Everton. It was only their second victory away from home in the 2020-21 season and just the sixth win overall.

At just 17 years and 309 days, Sheffield United’s Jebbison became the youngest player ever in Premier League history to score on his first start in the competition. It was just his second game in the competition, having come on as a substitute against Crystal Palace before making it to the starting 11 against Everton.

At 17 years and 309 days, Jebbison is also the youngest player ever to start for Sheffield United in the Premier League.

Before Jebbison, the record for being the youngest full-debut scorer in Premier League was held by Danny Cadamarteri was 17 years and 343 days old when he set the record while playing for Everton against Barnsley in the Premier League in September 1997.
