A female protagonist who inspires children

Beatrice Prior

Beatrice Tris’ Prior, from the “Divergent” series, is a female protagonist who inspires me. A 16-year-old from Abnegation, the faction of the selfless, she breaks all stereotypes by joining Dauntless. Despite being endlessly teased about her original faction, she makes it through the initiation. Tris is courageous, intelligent, empathetic, and strong-willed. She does everything within her power to stop Jeanine Matthews from hurting and killing people. She sacrifices herself for the people she cares for, proving her bravery, selflessness, and love. However, her imperfections too are inspiring. She often makes mistakes and faces the consequences, but she doesn’t get discouraged. She has plenty of flaws, but she doesn’t let them stop her from achieving her target either. Her determination inspires me and is one of the many qualities I would like to imbibe from Tris Prior.

A ruthless warrior

The book whose female protagonist inspired dream is “Myla Insurrection” written by Arjun Rao. The story of Malaika Menon, aka Agent Myla made me rethink my goals, ambition and my duties towards the country. When she was 16, Myla left her hometown to fulfill her dreams of joining the Indian army. After a long time, she comes home to find that someone has ruthlessly murdered her entire family along with her friend Niru. When she tries to connect the dots, she uncovers a controversy against her. It involves the police, deadly criminals and also her employers in the Army. She doesn’t stop till she kills the mastermind behind the conspiracy. It also showcases the power of willpower and drive. Myla made me think that I can also be courageous girl.

Goldilocks

The female protagonist which inspired me is Goldilocks in “Land Of Stories” series by Chris Colfer. She first appears in a 19th century tale “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” and then as the protagonist in Colfer’s award winning series. She was a known criminal due to the “Three Bears Incident. Even though she was pursued by everyone even the Royal families, she still helped in saving the world. She endured everything. The qualities of Goldilocks that inspired me most are her self-confidence, bravery, and her commitment to relationships.

Annabeth Chase

One of the female protagonists who have inspired me is Annabeth Chase from the “Percy Jackson” and “Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. She is a strong willed fierce, battle-hardened, demigod daughter of Athena, the goddess of wisdom, crafts and war. She is mentioned to be intimidating and sometimes, downright scary when angered. She is a walking contradiction to the typical blonde stereotype. Annabeth has faced and survived horrors that even people (or demigods) thrice her age would not be able to imagine. She has fought in two wars against untold evil seen many of her friends die, and has travelled through the pit of hell itself. She even admits, at the age of 12, that her fatal flaw is hubris (deadly pride), feeling that if she were in charge of the world, she could have done better. And by the age of 17, she leans to conquer it. She teaches me the importance of wisdom and how females are in no way inferior to males, and to not complain about the hardships in life, because no matter how bad you have it, someone out there has worse.

Matilda

Matlida, a character from Roald Dahl’s eponymous book really inspired me. Matlida loves to know the world of knowledge. The first book she read was a recipe book. Her parents took her to school. She is bright and eager to learn and she inspired to read a lot and study. Miss Honey helps her, but her headmistress is cruel to her.

Mulan

Mulan is an admirable and inspiring female protagonist. We witness her bravery when she decides to take her father’s place in the Chinese army, even when women were not allowed to be part of the army. When Mulan is faced with adversity, she learns how to overcome it in order to rise up and thrive. She is a fearless warrior. Even in the face of failure and self-doubt. Mulan turns up and tries again and again. By saving the life of emperor, Mulan proves to the empire that women can be warriors too. Mulan’s self-assured spirit teaches us to bounce back, keep moving forward!

Hermione Granger

The female protagonist who inspired me is surely Hermione Granger from the “Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. She first appears in “Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone” on the train to Hogwarts. She is played on screen by actor Emma Watson. Hermione is portrayed as a courageous, brilliant and extra ordinary student, who always stands first in class. She is also good looking. She inspired me in many ways, firstly through her studies. I want to be as brilliant as her too. Even though she was not a pure blood, she excelled in her studies. She is really systematic especially when it was her exams are drawing near. She kept revising and even made a timetable for her friends Harry and Ron. She always helps those in need and doesn’t care about the insults and rumours spread by the Slytherin gang. She also helps Harry throughout his seven years in Hogwarts. She works really hard to get a job in the Department for the Regular and Control of Magical Creatures. Working in this department, she is instrumental in greatly improving life for house elves and their ilk. She is also the one person who proves that hard work leads to success.
