After Leaving College in 1932, 99-Year-Old Man Finally Gets His Degree

Leo Plass, A 99 year-old man from Oregon, has just earned his college degree, proving you are never too old to g0 back to school.

Plass dropped out of school in 1932 during the Great Depression to take a logging job, but he took a few classes first. At the urging of his nephew, Eastern Oregon University looked over Plass’ transcript and realized that, according to modern requirements, Plass qualified for an associates degree in general studies.

“It only took me 80 years to get it done,” Leo Plass joked in an interview with Reuters. The recent graduate, who turns 100 on August 3, does not plan on launching a new career with his degree.
