I am interested in the banking line but many say that doing M.Sc./MCA instead will be good for me

I am studying B.Sc. (Computer Science). I am confused about what to choose after this. I am interested in the banking line but many say that doing M.Sc./MCA instead will be good for me. Please advise.

MCA is a rigorous 3-year programme of intensive theory with more emphasis on practical, seminars and project work. Considered to be on par with a B.E. or B.Tech., this course has greater market acceptability, especially for professional jobs in software.

But if you want to enter into banking, you may give the exam for probationary officer after graduation. These examinations, conducted by various banks, are highly competitive and require intense preparation in order to get through. Foreign and private banks prefer to take MBAs, MFCs, Chartered Financial Analysts and CA’s with some experience.

Both options are good. But first you need to find out what your interests and aptitudes are. Also talk to bank professionals about their working before deciding.
