Chelsea wins the Champions League

Chelsea were grouped with Sevilla, Krasnodar and Rennes in the group stages of the 2020-21 edition of the Champions League. By winning four of the six group stage games and drawing the other two. Chelsea finished top of their group with 14 points.

Chelsea’s defensive solidity shone through the knockout stages of the competition as they registered 3-0 and 2-1 aggregate victories over two legs of their Round of 16 and quarter-final against Atletico Madrid and Porto respectively. After defeating Real Madrid 3-1 over two legs in the semi-finals, Chelsea made it through to an all-English final against Manchester City.

In the final played on May 29, Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the game as Chelsea lifted the Champions League title for only the second time in their history.
