FrontRow is a wearable camera that lets you live in the moment, and capture it

Live streaming is a great way to share your experiences with others. But when you’re holding your phone up to record, you’re not experiencing as much as you should. Worn around your neck, the FrontRow Wearable Camera takes the camera out of your hands. Powered by Android, it has an 8MP main camera. On the opposite side is a 2-inch round touchscreen with direct streaming links for Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, a 5MP camera, and a home button. Upload photographs and videos to your phone via Bluetooth or WiFi through the FrontRow mobile app. Its story mode snaps pictures every few seconds and compiles them into a time-lapse video.

On standby mode, the device lasts for 50 hours and can record or livestream for around 2 hours before needing to recharge. It runs on story mode for upto 16 hours. FrontRow also comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

The FrontRow hangs around your neck, but the company will be offering a car window mount and a flexible coil mount in the future. While the design is stylish, the FrontRow still looks very much like a tech gadget — the camera gives it away. The idea isn’t entirely new either; wearable cameras are a growing trend, though FrontRow’s implementation certainly is unique.

It’s available for purchase on FrontRow.com and Amazon for $400, and the companion app is supported on iOS and Android.
