This photo is made of 195,000 megapixels

Shot from 750+ feet above Shanghai city, this 360-degree panorama by BigPixel Technology is made of 195,000 megapixels. Viewers can zoom in all the way down to street-level where faces and license plates can be seen clearly. The image is stitched together from 8,700 smaller photos taken by regular cameras with 600 mm telephoto lenses to capture close-ups. When the user zooms in and out, the system senses the visitor’s point of interest through an algorithm and automatically loads the corresponding image.  Select any part of the photo to zoom in on, and zoom in. Then zoom in some more. Then some more. Despite starting on top of a skyscraper, you’ll be able to make out individual blades of grass. There’s no part of the photo you can’t see in ridiculous detail.
