What are the career options after M.Sc. other than teaching?

I’ve just finished +2. I want to do B.Sc. in Maths and Physics and maybe continue with M.Sc. in Physics. What are the career options after M.Sc. other than teaching?

After a master’s degree, you can appear for Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination conducted by UPSC. This Central Government Service contributes significantly to economic planning and analysis through state boards, planning commission, and other government owned bodies in the country.

Applied mathematicians can be found in private industries like aerospace, oil, electronics, manufacturing, geology, geophysics, insurance, chemistry, communications and computing. The government departments employ a surprising number of mathematicians for research and problem-solving.

As you plan your future, remember that study in the mathematical sciences can lead to an interesting, rewarding and well-paying career – a career that counts.
