Meaning : The word veritable is used for emphasis, often to qualify a metaphor. It can be used to describe something as another, more exciting, unusual or interesting thing.

Origin :  The word, which has been around since early in the 15th Century, has Anglo-French and Old French roots. The word veritable, meaning “true, real, truthful, valid”, is formed by combining verite with able. The word is believed to have probably been lost in the middle of the 17th Century. only to be re-borrowed or revived some time in the 1830s.

Usage :  If you talk about cryptocurrencies to her, you will find that she is a veritable mine of information on the subject.
