What is the Quantum Computer?

Quantum Computer is a device that performs quantum computing designed in 2020. With transistors and microchips shrinking to their dinkiest point, computer engineers are thinking small to create the next big thing. By using subatomic particles instead of transistors, the quantum computer of 2020 could pack a thousand times more processing power than today’s computers in a case the size of a coffee cup.

Quantum computers are different from other computers such as DNA computers and traditional computers based on transistors.

Some computing architectures such as optical computers may use classical superposition of electromagnetic waves, but without some specifically quantum mechanical resources such as entanglement, they have less potential for computational speed-up than quantum computers.
